Product Description

Polyaluminum ferric chloride is developed based on in-depth research on the hydrolysis and coagulation mechanisms of polyaluminum chloride and ferric chloride. It combines the advantages of aluminum salt and iron salt coagulation, significantly improving the morphology of aluminum ions and iron ions, and greatly increasing the degree of polymerization. The appearance is brownish red powder or grain like, highly soluble in water.

Can be used for drinking water, industrial water, industrial wastewater, and domestic sewage treatment. The coagulation effect not only manifests as a decrease in residual turbidity and chromaticity, but also has advantages such as fast floc formation, high adsorption performance, and good sludge filtration and dehydration performance. Especially when treating high turbidity water at low temperatures and low turbidity, the treatment effect is better than that of alum, polymeric ferric sulfate, and ferric chloride.

Working Principle

The working principle of water purification for polyaluminum ferric chloride is mainly based on processes such as hydrolysis, adsorption electro neutralization, adsorption bridging, and sediment net capture

       1. Hydrolysis: When polyaluminum ferric chloride is added to water, a rapid hydrolysis reaction occurs. Aluminum ions and iron ions hydrolyze in water to form various hydroxyl complexes. As hydrolysis progresses, these complexes further polymerize to form multi nuclear hydroxyl complexes. These hydrolysis products carry a large amount of positive charges and can neutralize the negative charges on the surface of colloidal particles in water.

       2. Adsorption neutralization: Colloidal particles in water usually carry negative charges and maintain a stable dispersed state due to electrostatic repulsion. The positively charged hydrolysis product produced by the hydrolysis of polyaluminum ferric chloride can compress the double layer of colloidal particles, reduce their surface potential, and decrease electrostatic repulsion. At the same time, these positively charged particles will adsorb onto the surface of colloidal particles, and through charge neutralization, the colloidal particles will become unstable and collide with each other to aggregate.

       3. Adsorption bridging: The polymer formed by the hydrolysis of polyaluminum ferric chloride has a long molecular chain structure, which can stretch in water and connect multiple colloidal particles or small flocs through adsorption, like a bridge, connecting originally dispersed particles and gradually aggregating them into larger flocs.

       4. Sedimentation net capture: As the flocculation process progresses, the larger flocs formed will act like a net during the settling process, capturing and sweeping small particles and colloidal substances in the water, trapping them together, accelerating sedimentation, and achieving the separation of impurities and water, thus purifying water quality.

Product Features

       1. Efficient coagulation and significant purification effect: Polyaluminum ferric chloride combines the coagulation characteristics of aluminum salt and iron salt, which can quickly condense colloids and suspended particles in water into large and dense flocs, with fast settling speed. It has good removal effect on pollutants such as suspended solids, organic matter, heavy metal ions, algae, etc. in water, especially in the treatment of high turbidity water, low temperature and low turbidity water, and sewage containing a large amount of organic matter. The purification efficiency is significantly better than that of single aluminum salt or iron salt coagulants, and the effluent water quality is clearer and more stable.

       2. Strong adaptability: can adapt to a wide range of pH values, generally between 5-9, and can achieve good coagulation effect without frequent adjustment of water quality acidity and alkalinity; It also has good adaptability to water quality at different temperatures, and can maintain high coagulation efficiency even under low temperature conditions; At the same time, it can effectively cope with fluctuations in water quality and demonstrate strong stability when dealing with complex industrial wastewater and urban sewage.

       3. The cost advantage is obvious: due to its high coagulation efficiency, the dosage of polyaluminum ferric chloride is less than that of traditional coagulants while achieving the same purification effect, thereby reducing the cost of the agent; In addition, it forms a small amount of sludge, has a low moisture content, and correspondingly reduces the difficulty and cost of sludge treatment. The comprehensive use cost is low, and it has good economic benefits.

4. Convenient to use: The solid product of polyaluminum ferric chloride is easily soluble in water, with a fast dissolution rate. The liquid product can be directly added, and the operation is simple and convenient; The product has good storage stability, long shelf life, and is easy to store and transport; The dosage and usage can be flexibly adjusted according to different water quality and treatment requirements, suitable for water treatment systems of various scales.

       5. High safety: During the water treatment process, polyaluminum ferric chloride does not produce toxic or harmful by-products, making it environmentally friendly; When used for drinking water treatment, it meets relevant safety standards and does not pose a threat to human health, ensuring the safety of drinking water.
